After a
glorious warm and sunny afternoon of competition, the Fuschia Team emerged
victorious over the Purple team – 14 pts to 10 pts – to retain the cup.
Twenty-four
competitive ladies, all flaunting their team colours, battled it out for
the 12th annual event, which was a three-games-in-one
format: better-ball, alternate shot, and singles matches.
The
celebration continued with a casual dinner and champagne and a variety of
impromptu speeches and cheers. The trophy was presented by
acting Purple Team Captain Julie Pingree to Fuschia Team Captain Linda Briggs.
