 Well after a great weekend of golf and weather we have crowned our 2020 Fall Derby Champions. Congratulations to Chris Couch, Debbie Couch, Rich Hart & Margaret Hart who squeaked out the victory by a single point.

It may be called the Fall Derby but it sure felt like summer. After a lengthy fog delay we were able to get all of the teams on the course and chasing this year's title. After Day 1, here are your teams that finished in the money:

Team Purple takes 2020 Solheim Cup

After a glorious warm and sunny afternoon of competition on September 20th, the Purple Team emerged victorious over the Fuchsia Team to reclaim the Solheim Cup - 13 points to 11 points - a very close competition!

Twenty-four competitive ladies, all flaunting their team colours, battled it out for the 13th annual event, which was a three-games-in-one format: Better-ball, alternate shot, and singles matches.

Following the match the trophy was presented amid champagne toasts and speeches and cheers. The trophy was presented by Fuchsia Team captain Linda Briggs to Purple Team captain Anne Trimble.

 As we move through the season and look forward to our closing events in early October we have had a couple of our match play events finish up. Congratulations to Kandice Brackenbury who won the women's match play event. Julie Hastings who won the weekday women's match play event as well as Jodi Crerar & Chris Denysek who won the women's 4-ball match play event. Whitevale Junior Scholarship Award and David Myrvold Junior Golf Fund and Bursary Winner Announced

On behalf of Whitevale Golf Club and the Myrvold Family, we are pleased to announce that Lauren Bevan is the deserving recipient of the 2020 Whitevale Junior Scholarship Award. In addition to this, she is also the winner of the newly formed David Myrvold Bursary.

Her academic, athletic and volunteer experience has made her a very deserving candidate. Lauren will be attending Wilfrid Laurier University this fall.
